After answering the multiple-choice question correctly, Warwickshire-based gate manufacturer David Young was picked at random from thousands of entrants as the lucky winner of Shooting Times’ amazing deerstalking holiday in the Scottish Highlands, which ran in the 1 July issue. The incredible prize, which was worth more than £3,600, included up to four cull stags on Auch Estate and accommodation in Auch Lodge courtesy of West Highland Hunting plus use of an Isuzu D-Max pickup truck for a week. “I was stuck in heavy traffic on the M6 when I received the telephone call delivering the happy news,” explained David, adding: “I could not believe what I was hearing. Other than winning £10 on the National Lottery a couple of times I have never won anything in my life!”
