Red Stag Season

Tuesday 1 July marked the opening of the red stag season in #Ardnamurchan, Scotland. Stalking red stag’s in this unique environment presents a challenge that has inspired sportsmen throughout the world. A day on the hill culminating in a successful stalk is the very pinnacle of many hunters’ ambitions. Stalking takes place from late summer into autumn when the rut starts, a time when the hill and forests of Ardnamurchan thunder to the challenges of competing stags.
